The regulation of Tax Reform was one of the topics of the SDB meeting with Geraldo Alckmin and Luís Felipe Giesteira

Carlos Pedrotti, president of SDB, and Wislas Sousa, coordinator of Government Relations, met last Thursday (March 7) in Brasília with Geraldo Alckmin, vice president of the Republic and minister of Development, Industry, Commerce and Services (@governodobrasil); and with Luís Felipe Giesteira, director of the Department of Development of High Technological Complexity Industry. The meeting aimed to introduce the entity and discuss relevant topics for the telehealth sector in the country.

The regulation of Tax Reform and its impacts on Digital Health, the challenges of the sector and how Telehealth can help solve important issues of access, efficiency and sustainability in the Health system were some of the topics discussed.

On that occasion, aiming to contribute to pertinent public debates, the SDB representatives placed the SDB working groups entirely at the disposal of the MDIC. In addition, the first Manual of Good Practices for Telemedicine and Telehealth in Brazil and Latin America, prepared and published by the SDB, was personally delivered to Vice President Alckmin.
