An article about the growing pressure for the regulation of telemedicine in the country was featured in Correio Braziliense.
Even with the epidemiological scenario under control, the demand for teleconsultations is still growing in the country, according to data from the SDB. Therefore, the expectation is that one of the several bills on the subject will be voted on this week in Congress. This forecast was indicated by the Minister of Health himself, Marcelo Queiroga, who considers the practice of telemedicine “a step forward for Brazil”. “There is a bill that is being processed in Congress to make the issue of telehealth definitive. This bill was extensively discussed with us here at the ministry, with the Federal Council of Medicine, and a high-quality report has already been reached. It is possible that it will go to the plenary of the Chamber for a vote on Tuesday”, indicated the minister last Friday, during a press conference.
