Last week, the JOTA portal published the report “Health data security”, highlighting the importance of electronic medical records. The vice president of Saúde Digital Brasil, Carlos Pedrotti, was interviewed by JOTA and assured that there are currently internationally consolidated standards for handling health data. Large companies have already adopted this system or have certificates. “With these standards, it is possible to protect yourself in the best possible way.” These mechanisms, however, need to be constantly updated. Pedrotti highlights the need for caution, especially when sharing data. According to him, there are safe standards. But not all actors put them into practice.
